PVOTD: “Good For You” by Selena Gomez

It took me a minute on this one.  Just a minute, though.  I had to get over my expectation of an upbeat “Birthday”-like single.  After a few listens, I realized that this song is amazing.  I love both versions – the video is a basic one, the single has A$AP Rocky.  Gawd the A$AP Rocky addition is good though.  I recommend listening to it without the video.  The video is beautiful and she’s sexy as hell.  But guys, she still looks like she’s 15.  I know!  She’s 23.  But I can’t.

PVOTD: “Blue” by Marina and the Diamonds

It’s a TWOFER!  I just don’t think anyone should go their whole Friday without watching this video.  I’m on the third watch, myself.  Respect to director Charlotte Rutherford.  This video is just as magical as the song, making almost four minutes of heaven.  This girl has stolen my pop music lovin’ heart.

PVOTD: “How to be a Heartbreaker” by Marina and the Diamonds

I have a big fat crush on Marina and the Diamonds.  She is so damn talented, gorgeous, and her music is crazy fun.  I think the Brits and the Euros get it, but I don’t think Americans get it yet.  Electra Heart is one of my favorite albums and a welcome addition to my regular music rotation.

PVOTD: “I Will Never Let You Down” by Rita Ora

Rita Ora hasn’t really hit it huge yet, but she’s will.  Just you wait.  There are a lot of redeeming qualities about this video, but my favorite is the editing.  It cuts so well to the song, and the video builds perfectly with the song.  It is a super refreshing, simple video that is sexy as hell and a Moschino Fan’s dream.

PVOTD: “Cool For the Summer” by Demi Lovato

You’re gonna need a cold shower after this one.  I’m so in love with this song and this girl.  She’s one of the hottest females on the planet right now.  There’s something magical about this song, and I don’t foresee it getting old anytime soon.  It’s one of those Max Martin Masterpieces.

PVOTD: “Grown Woman” by Beyoncé

The other day, my mom emailed me an article about how Iggy Azalea’s career is over and how she’s racist and homophobic, blah, blah, blah.  My mom was concerned, because I love Iggy (I wrote a blog about it). The article made me laugh a little bit, then I thought of this Beyoncé video.  The song is pretty self explanatory.  The video is INCREDIBLE and one of my favorites of all time.  It features Baby Beyoncé, Beauty Queen Yoncé, and even Amazon Yoncé.  I could, and do, watch it all day.

Point is, everyone is a critic.  Iggy is a racist, Miley is a whore, Meghan Trainor is ruining America.  Haters gonna hate.  Meanwhile, these bitches be like…

PVOTD: “I Really Like You” by Carly Rae Jepsen

AAAND she’s back.  I honest to god did not see this coming.  Touché, Miss. J.  I think this song is so fun, so catchy, and a legitimate follow-up to “Call Me Maybe.”  Even Biebs makes an appearance in this one.  Oh yeah, and then there’s Tom Hanks.

Mic Drop.

PVOTD: “Feel Right” by Mark Ronson feat. Mystikal

God bless Mark Ronson for many reasons.  One of which is bringing Mystikal back.  I bet you didn’t realize how much you missed Mystikal.  I think this song is pretty perfect.  It’s been overshadowed by “Uptown Funk” and yet they still made this phenomenal music video.  My jaw was to the floor the whole time.
